# Pay a Coach ad hoc

If a Coach works longer hours than anticipated, or if a Coach was sent an incorrect amount of funds for their work, the system allows for an Admin to pay a Coach when necessary. For an Admin to transfer extra or missed money to a Coach, they can:

1. Click into any Reservation or Event where a Coach worked (the Coach must be added to the Reservation or Event for this to work)
2. Navigate to the Purchase tab of the Reservation or Event
3. Notice the button “Transfer” above all the Purchase Details
4. Click on the Transfer button
5. Click on the Coach to transfer funds to
6. Type in the Amount to Transfer and a Description
7. Click on the blue button labeled Create Transfer

This type of ad-hoc payment to a Coach can be done with Reservations or Events in the past, and the funds always come from the Club’s Stripe Express Account (similar to how the Coach receives funds during an Event).

{% hint style="info" %}
Coaches at Clubs located outside the U.S. are not paid through PodPlay. Paying a Coach through the system would require a cross-border transfer and currency exchange, reducing the amount of money captured. Thus, the system does not support international Coach payments.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.podplay.app/coaches/manage-coach-tiers/coach-payments-and-payouts/pay-a-coach-ad-hoc.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
