# How does Series pricing work

* How do I price the Series?
  * If you want to charge $10 per event and the Series has three events, when you create the Series, mark the price to $30 (10 x 3 = 30). You will not need to change the pricing of any other Event in the Series on the Admin Dashboard.
  * In the future, the price for a Series will be available to be set by the Unit price. Unit price means that 1 Unit = 1 Event in a Series, meaning that an Admin can make one Event in a Series more expensive than the other Events in a Series.
* What is the difference between the Series price and the Unit price?
  * The Series price is the price of the whole Series.
  * The Unit price is the price of each Event in the Series.
    * We strongly suggest setting the Unit price higher than the Series price divided by the number of Events to incentivize Customers to sign up for the whole Series on time.
      * For example, a Series lasting four days has a price of $40 ($10 for each Event in the Series). The Unit Event price has a price of $12, so if a Customer doesn’t sign up and wants to join for the remaining three Events in the Series after the first Event has passed, they will pay $36 in total.
* How does Prorated pricing work for Series?
  * Before a Series starts, you will set the Series price. Once the Series has started, if you have a Customer who wants to sign up for the remaining Events, there is an option for a prorated Series cost.
  * In the example below, the Series is created at a price of $30, with three Events in the Series. The prorated cost of each session was set to $12, so that if a Customer didn’t sign up for the Series on time (Friday was the first day of the Series), they could pay $24 for the last two days of the Series.
    * For the Non-member, their pricing was set to $60 (20 x 3 = 60), with a Unit pricing of $24, so that if they signed up after the first day of the Series (Friday), they would pay $48 for the remaining two days of the Series.
  * And a last day a Customer could sign up for the Series can also be selected so that Customers would not be able to sign up after the selected day.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.podplay.app/events/event-series/how-does-series-pricing-work.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
