Membership Discounts

Overview

You can give members a discount on their GoTab food and beverage orders as a Membership perk. The discount is set per Membership, so different Membership tiers can carry different discounts. It applies automatically at GoTab checkout — the member doesn't need to do anything.

Set a GoTab Discount on a Membership

• Open the Memberships page of the Dashboard
• Click the Membership you want to edit (or create a new one)
• In the Membership panel, find the GoTab section:

  • GoTab Discount Percentage — a value from 0 to 100. This percentage comes off GoTab (food & beverage) orders. 0% means no discount, which is the default.
  • GoTab Discount Excluded Tags — products carrying any of these GoTab tags are excluded from the discount. Start typing to pick from the tags already on your GoTab products.

How the Discount Behaves

• The discount applies to the member's whole GoTab order, except items carrying an excluded tag
• The discounted amounts appear on the order in PodPlay exactly as they do in GoTab, so both systems always show the same totals

Excluded tags are useful for keeping the discount off certain product groups — for example, tag alcohol products in GoTab and add that tag here to keep alcoholic drinks at full price.
