Viewer Role
Overview
The Viewer role gives mostly read-only access to the Dashboard. Use it for employees or partners who need to see what is happening at the club — calendars, Events, replays, and activity — without browsing the Customers directory, charging Customers, or changing profiles. Matches are an exception: Viewers can manage match records (write), when the matches feature is enabled.
The legacy Staff role was renamed to Viewer. Existing Staff users are upgraded automatically; no action is required unless you want to change their role to Front Desk for counter work.
Owners and Admins assign Viewer from a Customer Profile on the Customers page.
Area access: When your club uses area-scoped roles, a Viewer with no locations selected can see all areas (same as Manager). Assign specific areas only when you want to limit what they can browse.
Dashboard Pages Viewer Can Open
Overview — calendar of Reservations and Events (read-only)
Areas — area overview tabs when your club uses them
Events — browse and open Event details (cannot create or edit)
Matches — when your club has the matches feature enabled (manage / write, including publishing eligible matches to DUPR)
Templates — browse templates (cannot create, edit, or delete)
Activity Logs — when your club has the activity feed enabled
Replays — browse the replays list (cannot manage replay servers or cameras)
Viewer cannot open Customers, The Shop, Promo Codes, Purchases, Analytics, Insights, or most Company Settings pages.
What Viewer Can Do
Browse the Overview calendar and open Reservations or Events in the side panel (read-only)
Review Event details and attendee lists without saving booking or roster changes
Manage Matches (view, update, and publish eligible matches to DUPR when that feature is on)
Review templates and activity log entries
Browse replays already recorded for Events
Drawers and forms for reservations and Events open in read-only mode: action buttons such as Save, Delete, and charge-on-behalf controls are hidden or disabled. Match management actions (for example Publish DUPR Match) remain available.
