# Autonomous+ Signs

### Overview

On the Autonomous+ Tier your Club runs without staff onsite, so signage does the work a front-desk person would: it converts walk-ups, walks Customers through app-based door entry, sets the rules the monitoring team enforces, and points people to help. The photos below are from PingPod. Use them as a reference for what to post outside your entrance and inside your Club.&#x20;

Creating branded posters for your sport and space is essential and clear signage can dramatically compliment the Autonomous+ features. App-controlled door access means Customers unlock the entrance from the Reservation tab of the App, so your signs need to tell them how before they reach the door.&#x20;

24/7 remote monitoring by NOC runs off the Club's CCTV and speaker system, and signs set the expectations the monitoring team enforces. [Automatic Voice Downs (AVDs)](https://docs.podplay.app/owners-playbook/data-and-security/autonomous+-monitoring#automatic-voice-downs) are pre-recorded messages the team plays to a specific court, table, or bay, and many of them mirror a posted rule (no vaping, close the door, reservation required). Post the rule and the AVD becomes a reminder rather than a surprise.

#### Outside the door

This is the first thing a prospective Customer sees, and for a 24/7 Club it often replaces a greeter. Keep entry instructions and hours visible from the sidewalk.

The front entrance decal carries the core message:

> To Play:&#x20;
>
> 1. Scan to book a table
> 2. Unlock door with your phone
> 3. Walk in and play!

with a booking QR code and "Open 24/7."&#x20;

Pair it with a sidewalk A-frame ("Want to play? Book a table to unlock the doors") to catch foot traffic. Keep the reservation QR code current so a walk-up can book and enter in one flow.&#x20;

Below is a different access sign for reference for those who have already booked and reached a locked door.

To add more to the sign, mention the Pro system at the court or table when the Customer walks inside the venue.

#### Just inside the door

Entry-area signs handle security, since there is no staff to control who comes in. These back up NOC monitoring and the door-related AVDs.  Post an entry decal covering the essentials: "Please clean up after your game and pick up balls," "Do not open doors to strangers," and "Please do not smoke, vape, or consume alcohol inside the Pod."&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/4520ajUQujlrvA1Yu6gz" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Add a note on the glass ("Please do not open doors to anyone except your guests").&#x20;

These directly support the "Leaving the Door Open" and "Trespassers Warning" AVDs. A trespassing decal reinforces that access is tied to a Reservation: "Entering without a reservation is trespassing," "Violators of Pod Rules are subject to fines," and the no smoke/vape/alcohol reminder.

#### Inside the Club: rules and conduct

These signs spell out the rules the monitoring team enforces and the fines that apply, so a Customer who ignores an AVD has already been warned in writing. &#x20;

In the example sign directly below:

1. no open drinks on the court
2. no alcoholic beverages ($500 fine)
3. no smoking or vaping ($500 fine)
4. Reservation overstay charges (an automatic 30-minute charge after 5 minutes over, plus a $250 fine past 30 minutes without an extension)
5. court occupancy limit (max 6 per court, $100 fine over)
6. respect facility reminders ($250 fine for ignoring voice-downs)

<figure><img src="/files/4EGOtPPMezaHNdqS3JEf" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Set the specific limits and fine amounts to match your Club's policy.

A dedicated "No Smoking — includes vaping & e-cigarettes" sign is worth posting on its own, since vaping is one of the most common AVD triggers. &#x20;

A sport-rules poster helps newer players and heads off disputes. PingPod's "The Rules… If You're So Inclined" covers table tennis scoring, serving, and doubles play, sourced from USATT.org.&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/UPntpqvDklo8pyvJKVbg" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Swap in the rules for your sport (pickleball, padel, and so on). A short conduct decal ("Respect the Pod and fellow visitors") sets the tone without a wall of text.

#### Help and reservations

With no staff to ask, Customers need an obvious path to book, get help, and reach emergency services. Place these near the monitoring speaker so the connection to the live team is clear.

<figure><img src="/files/ACFtFpKt14s27XOvVFje" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

This decal combines three things a Customer needs on the spot: a QR code to make a Reservation, a help line ("Need help? Call us at xxx-xxx-xxxx"), and "For an emergency, call 911." Use your Club's own number. An office-hours display sets expectations for when staff can respond to non-urgent requests, even though the space itself is open 24/7.

#### Amenities and community

These signs cover self-checkout, Wi-Fi, music, and social follow, and they keep Customers moving without help.

If you sell drinks or snacks, label the fridge with a scan-to-pay flow: "Scan • Pay • Grab • Enjoy," plus the honesty note ("Items that are taken without checking out are subject to a $2 convenience fee"). The monitoring team **does not** monitor the fridge or any self-serve product, so this sign carries the full weight of enforcement.

A community decal shares the guest Wi-Fi network and password and invites Customers to join your community. A separate "Play music from your iOS device" card can walk them through connecting over AirPlay.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.podplay.app/owners-playbook/new-to-podplay/onboarding/onboarding-checklists/autonomous-tier-checklist/autonomous-signs.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
