Apply a Lesson Pass for a Different Coach

This feature is in development.

Overview

When Club staff books a private Lesson on behalf of a Customer in the Dashboard, the Customer may only have Lesson Passes for a Coach who is not the one teaching. The system can apply a single-coach Lesson Pass for that other Coach so the Customer still gets the Coaching discount.

Use this when you are staffing a Lesson with Coach A and the Customer’s remaining Lesson Passes are limited to Coach B. Customers checking out in the App never see this option.

When offered

• You are booking for another Customer (staff on-behalf checkout)
• Use all available Passes is on
• The selected (teaching) Coach has no matching Lesson Pass
• The Customer has at least one remaining single-coach Lesson Pass for a different Coach
• The Pass is not limited by Coach tier and is not a multi-Coach list

Tier-scoped and multi-Coach Lesson Passes are never Remapped. Only passes limited to exactly one Coach can be applied this way.

If several Remappable Passes exist, the system suggests one: highest remaining quantity first, then the Package that expires soonest, then Coach name.

How to apply or decline

• Start a Reservation for the Customer and select the teaching Coach as usual
• Open payment / checkout details for the booking
• When a remappable pass exists, look for a message such as: the Customer only has passes for Coach B — apply that pass to this lesson with Coach A?

• Click Apply pass to use the suggested Lesson Pass
• Or click Don't apply to leave coaching charged normally (no Lesson Pass redemption)

After you apply:

• Coaching is discounted like a normal Lesson Pass redemption
• Remaining Lesson Pass count decreases
• A confirmation shows that the teaching Coach will be paid the Lesson Pass payout amount minus club fee

• Click Clear Lesson Pass override if you need to remove the remap before confirming the booking

What the Customer pays

• Same Lesson Pass discount rules as a matching Coach (including Max students and Includes court fee)
• Declining the remap leaves coaching at the normal rate; remaining Lesson Passes are unchanged

How the teaching Coach is paid

Remapping does not change payout formulas. The Coach who teaches the lesson is paid using the usual Lesson Pass payout rules:

• Membership Lesson Pass → teaching Coach’s list rates for the covered time
• Purchased Lesson package → package price divided across all pass units in that package
• Club / coach split → from the pass if set, otherwise the teaching Coach’s tier

Tips

• This only appears on Dashboard bookings you make for a Customer — not on the Customer app or web checkout
• Turning off Pass use clears any remap in progress
