### Using the Kiosk

The recommended location to install a Kiosk is at the centerline of the court or table. The [Kiosk](https://podplay.gitbook.io/docs/scoreboard-and-kiosk/kiosk) is touchscreen and points can be added, subtracted, and Quick Replays can be captured by tapping on the Kiosk.

* Tap the number above a Customer's name to add a point or denote that the rally has been won by that Customer.
* Tap the pink button in the bottom left of the Kiosk to capture a Quick Replay
* Tap the `Swap sides` button to change the players in the game from one side to the other side
* Tap the `Reset score` button to revert the scores back to zero
* Tap the `+ Add guest` button to change the players in the match's game

<figure><img src="/files/jipOXykL36DmB3Zyr8NE" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### DUPR Challenge Matches

If everyone on the court has their DUPR account connected to their Customer Profile on the App, when selecting the type of game play on the Kiosk, an option for a [DUPR Challenge Match](https://podplay.gitbook.io/docs/scoreboard-and-kiosk/dupr-challenge-match) is visible. To learn more, read about [DUPR Challenge Matches](https://podplay.gitbook.io/docs/scoreboard-and-kiosk/dupr-challenge-match).

### Capture Quick Replays

If there are no matches currently running on the Kiosk, a big pink button is visible. Should a Customer tap this button, they will generate a [Quick Replay](https://podplay.gitbook.io/docs/replays/types-of-replays#quick-replays).

<figure><img src="/files/staDKVhisT4rUNOleDVy" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

If there is a match game running, the pink button to tap on the Kiosk will be in the bottom left corner of the Kiosk to generate a [Quick Replay](https://podplay.gitbook.io/docs/replays/types-of-replays#quick-replays).

<figure><img src="/files/IcB0Y5wXIbbYsQCn0iVV" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

When a Quick Replay is generated, if your Club charges for Quick Replays, a message will appear informing the Customer there are charges for Quick Replay captures. The message will also inform the Customer how many Quick Replay Credits they have remaining. To learn more, read about [Who Pays for a Quick Replay](https://podplay.gitbook.io/docs/replays/overview-of-replays/capturing-and-reviewing-replays#who-pays-for-a-quick-replay).

### Sync with Play Buttons

The Play buttons are used to keep score and capture replays and they will be located on the PodPlay-labeled Plaques. Each pair of Play buttons is configured to a specific court (two Play buttons per court, one for each side or team). If a Play button's battery dies or loses its sync with the Kiosk (iPad), the battery must be replaced, or the button itself will need to be repaired.

#### To pair the Play Button with a court:

1. Walk up to the kiosk for the court you wish to sync a Play button to
2. Hold your finger down on your Club’s logo which will bring up the settings
3. Click on the Advanced Settings option
4. Click on “Side Based” the right side under Button Assignment
   1. If you're using the Playbands, choose "Team Based”
5. Click the **Begin Scan** button (picture below for reference)
6. Hold down the Play button until you notice the name of the Play button under the Button Events section
   1. Notice how the name for the Play button is a series of letters and numbers like “F211frOq - CLICK”
7. Choose the “Left” or “Right” side of the court in the section labeled “Buttons Found”
8. Repeat steps 5 - 7 for the second Play button

Once both Play buttons are paired with the court’s kiosk, exit the system settings and go back into the PodPlay app, then take the Play buttons to their respective side of the court.

<figure><img src="/files/7QKiS0GXhutdS5Ism8aE" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* Now your Play buttons are paired to each side of the Court and you can test their ability to function
* First, you will need to have an Event or Reservation booked, then try clicking the Play buttons to score points, deduct points, and capture Replays

<figure><img src="/files/Dbg19A9vwtgVUw4LFV1P" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
Play buttons have designated courts and cannot be used on a different court than the one it has synced to.
{% endhint %}

#### Sleep Mode

If the Kiosk goes into sleep mode, the screen turns black and you can turn off sleep mode on the Kiosk by following these steps:

1. Hold your finger down on your Club logo which will bring up the settings
2. Navigate to the Accessibility section
3. Turn on Guided Access
4. Enable Guided Access

Once enabled, exit the system settings and go back into your Club's PodPlay app on the Kiosk. Sleep mode does not happen frequently.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.podplay.app/pro-system/kiosk.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
