# Liability Waivers

### Overview

This page details:

1. How the Customer can accept the waiver
2. How an Admin can accept the Customer’s waiver (not a good practice or common)
3. How an Admin can download the Customer’s accepted waiver

### Customer Accepts the Waiver

When a Customer first signs up for a Profile on your App, they will accept the Privacy Policy, the Terms and Conditions, and the Liability Waiver. To accept the Liability Waiver, the Customer must scroll through the waiver and click the button to “Accept,” which only becomes clickable after they have confirmed they have read the waiver.

<summary>Where does the Customer agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy?</summary>

This is where the Customer agrees during Profile creation.

<summary>What if my Club has multiple locations?</summary>

If your Club has multiple locations with specific waivers for different locations, Customers will be required to agree to each of the Waivers for each location, one location during Profile creation, and other location Waivers are signed if they go to book at that venue.

### Admin Accepts the Waiver

For staff to accept the Liability Waiver (or Terms of Service & Privacy Policy) on behalf of a Customer, they can:

1. Navigate and click on a Customer’s Profile in the Customer page of the Dashboard
2. Scroll down in the Overview tab of the side panel
3. View the drawer labeled WAIVERS AND AGREEMENTS
4. Click on the three dots to the right of the any unconfirmed waiver
5. Click the button that pops up labeled “Sign on behalf of the user”

{% hint style="danger" %}
While staff can also sign the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and the Liability Waiver on behalf of the Customer, it is a poor security practice to allow for staff to do this on a Customer's behalf. It is very normal and completely acceptable to ask the Customer to do this themselves. For any Customer pushing back, they have not stepped out of their house in over a decade; your staff can be gentle with them as they are re-introduced to the normal world of sports Clubs, where everyone needs to accept the terms of playing at the Club.
{% endhint %}

### Download the Customer’s Waiver

For staff to download the Customer’s accepted waiver, they can:

1. Navigate and click on a Customer’s Profile
2. Scroll down in the Overview tab of the side panel
3. View the drawer labeled WAIVERS AND AGREEMENTS
4. Click on the three dots to the right of the any completed waiver
5. Click the button that pops up labeled “Download PDF”

The PDF will then download on to the computer and staff can print it out or send it via email, if desired.

{% hint style="info" %}
The Terms of Service & Privacy Policy cannot be downloaded to a PDF since this is hyperlinked to your marketing website. No software company will provide Customers with the ability to download their agreed-to Terms of Service & Privacy Policy.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.podplay.app/profiles/creating-a-customer-profile/customer-liability-waiver.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
