# Kid sub-Profiles & Kid-only Events

If your Club has a lot of children coming in to the Club, you can ask your CSM to turn on the Kids Feature. This feature allows a Customer to create a sub-Profile, within their Profile, so the Customer can sign their child up for Kids-only Events.

{% hint style="info" %}
**This feature is mainly used for:** after-school activities, summer camps, or holiday camps.
{% endhint %}

### Creating a Kid sub-Profile

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="Customer Creates on the App" %}
For a Customer to add a kid to their Profile, they would:

1. Click on the Account Info button in the Account tab
2. Click on Kid Profiles
3. Click on “Add a kid profile”
4. Fill in the child’s name and date of birth
5. Add any allergies
6. Sign the waiver

Now that this Customer has a Kid sub-Profile attached to their Profile, they can sign their child up for Kid-only Events.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Admin Creates in the Dashboard" %}
For an Admin to do so, they would:

1. Navigate to the Customer’s Profile
2. Open on the KIDS drawer (near the top of the Overview tab)
3. Click on the “Kid” button
4. Fill out the new side panel that has appeared

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Admins** **cannot accept the child's waiver** on behalf of the parent.
{% endhint %}

The parent will sign the waiver for their child when signing up their child for a Kids-only Event.
{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
Today, a Kid sub-Profile cannot join a regular Event, they can only join Kids-Only Events.
{% endhint %}

### Creating a Kids-only Event

When you are [**Creating an Event**](https://help.podplay.app/en/articles/734977), an Admin will check off the “Kids Only Event” box:

In doing this, the Admin is saying that ONLY Kid sub-Profiles can sign up for this Event. A regular adult with a regular Profile will not have the option to sign up for this Event when they review it on App.

When a Customer goes to sign their child up for the Kids Only Event, the Customer will receive a prompt to either choose one or several of their children to add, or to “Add a Kid” sub-Profile to their Profile.

Once a Customer has signed up for a Kids Only Event, their name and their child’s name will appear in the Attendee list of the Event.

The icons under the Profile list are showing who is the parent and who is the child. If an Admin wants to review the children on the Event, they can click on the “Print” button above the attendee list and a new pop-up appears. This pop-up will show all of the information pertaining to any child added to the Event.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.podplay.app/profiles/kid-sub-profiles-and-kid-only-events.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
