# Content Management System (CMS)

### Overview

Your logo is a branding asset that overlays on a [Quick](https://docs.podplay.app/replays/overview-of-replays#quick-replays), [Custom](https://docs.podplay.app/replays/overview-of-replays#custom-replays), or [Enhanced](https://docs.podplay.app/replays/overview-of-replays#enhanced-replays) Replay, and a short video can be Pre-roll for [Instant Replays](https://docs.podplay.app/replays/overview-of-replays#instant-replays). In this way, all generated Replays carry your Club's identity.

{% hint style="info" %}
To understand more about the visuals of your logo over Replays, check out [Watermarks & Ads on Replays](/replays/watermarks-and-ads-on-replays.md).
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="success" %}
With the [Owner role](https://docs.podplay.app/overview/the-dashboard/admin-roles#owner-role), you can view and edit the CMS page in the Dashboard.
{% endhint %}

#### Asset types

A `Logo` is a PNG or JPEG image overlaid on the Replay video, placed at a configurable position on the frame (bottom-right or bottom-center). Supported formats are `.png`, `.jpg`, and `.jpeg`. A `Pre-roll` is a short video appended to the end of the Replay clip. Supported formats are `.mp4`, `.mov`, and `.webm`. Assets upload to a shared library available to all Replay Servers in your Environment.

There are three different levels to the CMS page.

#### Company level

* Click on the `Company Settings` tab at the top to pull up environment-wide options (useful if you have several Venue locations).
* Drag from any folder or desktop from your computer and add a logo to the Replay Logo's gray area.
* Click on `Browse library` to open an additional side panel to the right to review the branding assets in your Replay Server. Click on the `>> Collapse` button to hide the library of assets.

<figure><img src="https://29730733-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FvxoNuJiMibWwb1kotX38%2Fuploads%2FfYOgexiHGz9DGJgOxKMv%2FScreenshot%202026-09-03%20at%2020.19.07.png?alt=media&amp;token=ec20d393-83e3-4dc0-9ba6-d08328d74e3a" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Area level

* Click on the gear icon <i class="fa-gear">:gear:</i> to edit the Replay Watermark added to your Quick, Custom, and Enhanced Replays for all courts or tables.
* Clicking on `Preview branding` will show a visual for how the Replays look with the logos added.

If you are applying a specific branding asset to an Area, the Area's name will have `Area-Specific Override` in a blue tag added to the Venue's name. This is also visible in the `Branding` column in a teal color tag labeled `Area`.

<figure><img src="https://29730733-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FvxoNuJiMibWwb1kotX38%2Fuploads%2FQmlkrRhnIfcE1CFeqtMr%2FScreenshot%202026-09-03%20at%2020.01.18.png?alt=media&amp;token=febf14a8-adbe-4b60-b42e-1a1a53476817" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Court level

* Click on the gear icon <i class="fa-gear">:gear:</i> to edit the Replay Watermark added to your Quick, Custom, and Enhanced Replays for a single court or table.
* Clicking on the picture icon <i class="fa-image-landscape">:image-landscape:</i> will show a visual for how the Replays look with the logo added to a specific court or table.

If you are applying a specific branding asset to a court or table, the court will have a `Screen Override` tag in blue.

### Uploading Assets

Clicking on any gear icon <i class="fa-gear">:gear:</i> will pull up a side panel where you can edit your Watermark logo on the Area level or Court level.

#### Single Branding Asset

If a single logo is added as your branding asset to the Company level, the Area level, or the Court level, that logo will be used on your [Replays](/replays/overview-of-replays.md).

<figure><img src="https://29730733-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FvxoNuJiMibWwb1kotX38%2Fuploads%2Fn3mTTqnbi0YqqS9ULQb8%2FScreenshot%202026-09-03%20at%2020.28.37.png?alt=media&amp;token=f3663d25-2bd8-4698-9dd6-6c5038b27de9" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Multiple Branding Assets

When two or more logos are added as your branding asset to the Company level, the Area level, or the Court level, that logo will be used on your [Replays](/replays/overview-of-replays.md) in a cycle. In an example:

> There's an Event where 10 Replays are captured
>
> * Logo 1 is used when the 1st Replay is captured
> * Logo 2 is used when the 2nd Replay is captured
> * Logo 1 is used when the 3rd Replay is captured
> * Logo 2 is used when the 4th Replay is captured
> * Logo 1 is used when the 5th Replay is captured
>
> Etcetera.

### Preview On-device Branding Assets

To verify what's currently installed on a device:

* Click on `Preview branding` at the Area level, or
* Clicking on the picture icon <i class="fa-image-landscape">:image-landscape:</i> at the Court level

Both options will open a pop-up window showcasing how the logo will look on the Replay.

<figure><img src="https://29730733-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FvxoNuJiMibWwb1kotX38%2Fuploads%2FKyyZZSW6r8jfyxO5Hvw2%2FScreenshot%202026-09-03%20at%2020.37.59.png?alt=media&amp;token=4092254f-dd42-4387-a033-447d96417992" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="success" %}
You can click on the `General full replay` to see a full Quick Replay with the logo

This is a very easy way to **showcase to potential advertisers or sponsors** what their logo would looks like on your Replays.
{% endhint %}

Click on the `X` or the `Close` button to minimize the pop-up window.

#### Preview the Pre-roll

To review the [Instant Replay](https://docs.podplay.app/replays/watermarks-and-ads-on-replays#instant-replay-pre-roll-and-post-roll) Pre-roll uploaded:

* Book a Reservation or Event on the table or court
* Walk over to the table or court
* Generate a Replay on the Kiosk
* Look at Monitor above your head
* Watch the Instan Replay Pre-roll

<figure><img src="https://29730733-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FvxoNuJiMibWwb1kotX38%2Fuploads%2F26ej9B5e5XCpbY6xtBNt%2FScreenshot%202026-09-03%20at%2020.48.26.png?alt=media&amp;token=7fb02727-9fde-46c3-81bf-5e5e818b91f8" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Troubleshooting

**"Cannot reach device" when viewing on-device status:** The device may be offline or unreachable from the API server. Confirm it's connected and reporting heartbeats. Logo or Pre-roll not appearing in generated Replays:

* Verify the assets are assigned and saved in Advanced Settings.
* Check that the asset files exist on the device using the eye-icon preview buttons.
* Restart the service if the configuration was changed recently.
* If a logo previews as blank or won't render, re-upload the image and confirm it appears in the preview before assigning it again.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.podplay.app/replays/cms.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
