# Book for Free

{% hint style="danger" %}
When a Reservation is booked for `Free`, any **additional Customers added to the Reservation will not be charged** because everything in the Reservation is considered free-of-charge.
{% endhint %}

On the Overview page of the Dashboard, employees can create a Customer's private Reservation for free by:

1. Select the desired day, time, and court
2. Search for the Customer's name (unique by email)
3. Click the `Book` button
4. Update the charge type for `Free`
5. Click the `Book` button in the pop-up window
6. Notice the `Payment Method` is `Free`

When the front desk books a Reservation that is free, the system does not process any charges and the reservation is confirmed immediately. If the front desk creates a Reservation on behalf of a Customer and it's not free, all charges would go through as expected.

Reservations booked for free are also the pinkish/red color on the Dashboard. This color denotes something in the Dashboard that has been created BY an employee. ## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.podplay.app/reservations/admin-creates-a-reservation/book-a-reservation-on-behalf-of-a-customer-for-free.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
